Training is a key to success in the Real Estate Industry

I would like to take a moment to congratulate Michael O'Sullivan and his team at Starr Partners Campbelltown, winners of Real Estate Agency Best Practice Award for 2010.  Their success story is on the cover of this months issue of Sold Magazine, and is a great read for anyone currently working in Real Estate looking for more clues as to how to achieve success in both Sales and Property Management.

I particularly like the bit where Michael is quoted as saying:

Training is so important. In fact I liken it to elite athletes, who need to consistently train otherwise their skills deteriorate and they are left behind by their competitors. It’s no different for us. In a constantly changing industry, it is important to continue to stay at the forefront by training and therefore being able to provide the very best in service and industry tools to our clients – because, after all, that’s what they expect.

Yes, I have been a part of the Real Estate Training industry for many years, but think I would agree regardless!  Real Estate Agents do need to keep pace with the latest technology and keep their skills current.  Its also really beneficial to spend time networking with other agents to swap ideas, discuss problems and make new friends.  Attending external CPD training in NSW is not only compulsory each year for licensed Agents, but can facilitate all of this for your team, and much more.

The message is clear: Update your skills continuously; and don't get left behind by the competition!
