Vote one for education and skills improvements!

There was an opinion piece in the small business section of the Brisbane times today entitled Vote one for education and skills improvements.

This article importantly points out some of the challenges in Victoria regarding post year 12 qualifications, and the need for investment in skills education.  (Not to say that these challenges don't exist in other States of Australia!)

But for the moment – back to Victoria…

As we understand, recent reforms in the vocational education sector introduced by both the Federal & the Victorian State governments have been targeted at ensuring a more highly skilled, knowledgeable and adaptable workforce.  Vocational training programs that recognise the skills gained from actual workplace employment and transitioning those to nationally recognised programs and qualifications have been identified as an important part of the upskilling of the Victorian workforce.  These are needed to remain at the forefront of the drive to a competitive economy.

In the next few days we will have our own exciting announcement regarding Real Estate Training in Victoria.  Real Estate Professionals – please watch this space!
